The Centro Internazionale per la Ricerca Matematica (C.I.R.M.) of Trento organized during the year 1999 the following Conferences and Schools:


·  "Epistemology of Mathematics for Didactics",

from February 7 to February 12 1999, at the Grand Hotel Bellavista in Levico Terme (Trento).

This school was co-sponsored by the European Commission under the TMR-program.

·  "Mathematical Methods and Models in Biology",

from May 10 to May 12 1999, at the Grand Hotel Bellavista in Levico Terme (Trento).

The conference was part of CNR Strategic Project "Mathematical methods and models in biology". Sponsors were the Department of Mathematics of the University of Trento and C.I.R.I.T.A. (Milano Politecnico).
